Alejandro Rojas Bruce is the Director of Institutional Relations and Communications at the Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2). With a strong commitment to advancing the hydrogen economy, he works to raise awareness of hydrogen technologies, connect key industry stakeholders, and promote the development of a favorable ecosystem for their deployment.

Through his role at AeH2, Alejandro fosters collaboration between companies, national and international institutions, and policymakers to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen as a key energy vector for decarbonization. His expertise in strategic communication and institutional engagement helps position Spain as a leader in the global hydrogen landscape.

“We can start low-carbon hydrogen economy in Southeast Asia from hydrogen use as feedstock in the industry sectors”

Alloysius Joko Purwanto is since 2018 an Energy Economist at the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) based in Jakarta. He is working on the issues of energy transition in the Southeast Asia region, mostly in the development of low carbon hydrogen-ammonia economy, sustainable bioenergy, and the electrification of mobility. Prior to joining ERIA, he worked in Belgium for almost ten years as a consultant and researcher in several private companies, and between 2005 and 2008, he joined the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in Seville, Spain, as a research grant holder in the energy unit. He obtained his master’s and doctoral degrees in transport economics in France and his civil engineering degree from the University of Indonesia in Jakarta.

Currently Science and Technology Counsellor at the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore, Bjørn has spent more than 15 years in the hydrogen- and clean tech industry – and has an inside perspective from research, industry associations, start-ups, corporate management and development, as well as investment companies. He holds a Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Mr. Colin Chen is the Head of ESG Finance, Asia Pacific, for MUFG Bank. Since taking on this role in April 2021, he has built MUFG’s sustainable finance business in the region and deepened its market presence by further establishing the bank as a center of excellence for green financing. He is also the Chair of OECD’s Asia Working Group on Business and Sustainability. He actively engages with clients across sectors in Asia advising them on their sustainability strategy and is a regular speaker at industry forums as a strong advocate of advancing ESG Finance across the region. Mr. Chen joined MUFG in 2000 and has been involved in structured finance for over 30 years. Prior to his current role, he was MUFG’s Head of Structured Finance, Asian Investment Banking Division.
