KUCHING (March 25): Norway, a global leader in renewable energy and hydrogen innovation, will showcase its expertise at the Hydrogen Economy Forum (H2EF) 2025, taking place on May 13 and 14 at Hilton Kuching.

The Innovation Norway-led Country Dialogue, titled: “Norway’s Leadership in Hydrogen – Innovation, Technology & Collaboration”, will feature key industry leaders discussing the nation’s strategic vision for hydrogen and its role in shaping a sustainable global energy future.

As hydrogen gains momentum as a clean energy solution, Norway continues to push boundaries in green and blue hydrogen production, electrolysis innovations, and large-scale hydrogen infrastructure.

This dedicated session will explore how Norway’s hydrogen ecosystem is evolving through public-private partnerships, investment in R&D, and international collaborations.

“The Norway Country Dialogue at H2EF 2025 will provide valuable insights into how Norway is pioneering the hydrogen economy,” said Bjørn Simonsen, Science and Technology Counsellor, Norwegian Embassy Singapore / Innovation Norway.

“By fostering partnerships and leveraging leading-edge technology, Norway is driving real-world applications that will accelerate global hydrogen adoption,” he added.

H2EF 2025 is hosted and organised by the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak (MEESty), the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia (MOSTI), and Borneo Business Connect, with the support of Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak).

The forum aims to bridge industries and governments by promoting knowledge-sharing, facilitating business opportunities, and positioning hydrogen at the forefront of the global clean energy transition, with a particular focus on Sarawak and the Asia Pacific region.

As South East Asia accelerates its shift towards clean energy, H2EF 2025 will provide a critical platform for global leaders to discuss hydrogen policies, financing mechanisms, and breakthrough technologies that will drive the industry forward.

With participation from government representatives, industry leaders, and technology innovators, the event will serve as a springboard for collaborative initiatives that support the region’s decarbonisation goals.
