BATANG AI HYDROELECTRIC DAM, SARAWAK
The Batang Ai Hydroelectric Dam is a major hydroelectric power facility located in the Sri Aman Division of Sarawak along the Batang Ai River. Commissioned in 1985, the dam has an installed capacity of 100 MW generated by four turbines and is operated by Sarawak Energy. It was Sarawak’s first large-scale hydroelectric project and continues to play an important role in supplying renewable energy to the state’s power grid. The site has also expanded its clean energy initiatives with the development of a floating solar project, creating a hybrid hydro–solar energy system.

DARUL HANA HYDROGEN PRODUCTION PLANT, KUCHING
TheDarul Hana Hydrogen Production Plantin Kuching is part of Sarawak’s initiative to develop a hydrogen economy and promote low-carbon energy solutions. The facility produces green hydrogen through water electrolysis, with a production capacity of approximately 150 kg per day. Hydrogen produced at the plant is used to support hydrogen-powered transportation initiatives in Kuching, including hydrogen buses andrefuellinginfrastructure, showcasing Sarawak’s commitment to advancing clean energy technologies.
