KUCHING (March 14): The highly anticipated Hydrogen Economy Forum 2025 (H2EF) in May is set to bring together global leaders, industry pioneers, and policymakers to explore the future of green hydrogen and renewable energy.

This year’s event will feature prominent speakers who will offer expert insights into the evolving green hydrogen economy and its impact on sustainability, innovation, and economic growth.

Among the speakers are Sarawak Economic Development Corporation Chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Husain, who will highlight Sarawak’s vision of positioning itself as a global leader in the green hydrogen economy.

With his extensive expertise in economic development and public service, Abdul Aziz will outline strategies to leverage Sarawak’s vast clean energy resources, including green hydrogen, to boost sustainability and economic prosperity.

Another speaker, Amiram Roth-Deblon, Chief Operating Officer of Blueleaf Energy, brings extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, having led over 10 GW of solar, wind, and battery projects worldwide.

His pioneering work includes the world’s largest floating solar project in Laguna Lake, Philippines, and landmark hybrid renewable energy projects in Egypt and Australia.

At Hydrogen Economy Forum 2025, he will discuss how Sarawak and the wider Asia-Pacific region can harness green hydrogen and renewable energy to drive economic transformation, as well as the critical role of green hydrogen in decarbonising key industries.

Adding an international perspective, Bjørn Simonsen, Science and Technology Counsellor at the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore and Innovation Norway, will share insights on global green hydrogen market trends and the critical role that Asia-Pacific will play in this transition.

With over 15 years of experience in clean technology and hydrogen industries, he will explore opportunities for collaboration between the region and international markets to accelerate the development and adoption of green hydrogen solutions.

As Hydrogen Economy Forum 2025 aims to advance dialogue on green hydrogen adoption, infrastructure development, and cross-border partnerships, these distinguished speakers will provide valuable perspectives on shaping a sustainable energy future.

The conference will serve as a platform for exchanging knowledge, fostering partnerships, and accelerating investment in green hydrogen technologies.
